Troy T. James

	Troy T. James, 78, of DuQuoin, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2002 at 8:05 a.m. in St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis, Mo.
	Mr. Neal had been a coal miner and a member of First Baptist Church.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II.  He was a member of DuQuoin VFW Post 513, American Legion Post 647 and the Eagles.  Mr. James was co-founder and member of the DuQuoin Saddle Club and donated the land for the club.  He was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
	He was born October 25, 1923 in Hardy, Arkansas, the son of Grover and Elva (Pruit) James.  He married Sylvia V. Case on October 24, 1942 at Corning, Arkansas.
	Surviving are his wife, Sylvia James of DuQuoin; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy James of DuQuoin, Allen and Sheila James of DuQuoin and Lonnie and Patricia James of DuQuoin; two brothers, Everette James of DuQuoin and Jessie L. James of DuQuoin; two sisters, Beulah Bridgewater Murphy of South Haven, Mississippi and Winnie Rogers of Corning, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Yuovonne; six brothers and one sister.
	 Funeral services were Wednesday, May 15 at 1 p.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park in DuQuoin.
	Friends called Tuesday, May 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. until time of service.
	Graveside military rites were conducted by DuQuoin VFW Post 513.
	Memorials may be made to the DuQuoin Saddle Club.
